School Report - what's going on?

The realities of Equity and equality are real in these scenes - the fact that students start life in different places of the race in the game of life, the reality of starting the day with a full stomach or an empty one, the fact that WHERE students come from is very different in each classroom.

WHAT YOU NEED IN LIFE IS A WHOLE BUNCH OF STRATEGIES, IF YOU COME ACROSS A PROBLEM AND YOU ONLY HAVE ONE WAY TO SOLVE IT AND IT DOESN'T WORK - YOUR STUFFED!

I love the fact that Latta stresses the fact that Pt England are for National standards, just not the narrow way they are branded right now because they don't adequately reflect the huge strives kids are making here. Instead they can appear like they are under performing and that's a negative for them and their parents. I think we need to rethink the way National Standards define and measure progress.
